"Around Saariselkä, the vastest fell highland of northern Europe can be discovered, where clean nature, its beauty and the silence of fells allow you to relax"
Think again.
Every year, there will be more transmitters and antennas on the top of the Kaunispää mountain (fell), in Saariselkä, Lapland.
Well, that's not all. This active radiating continues in the ski lift of children:
Now, check the pole and the antenna attached to it.
A Directional Wi-Fi antenna. But, but, since they create a dense network, even children get their dose [What a 'coctail' in Saariselkä, at close range: GSM, 3G, UMTS-900, @450, Tetra, Digital-TV, FM-radio ... + Wi-Fi].
Teleoperators in Finland are competing: "Who has the best 3G coverage" and "Whose 3G covers all major skiing resorts".
Additionally, they have filled the skiing resort with following ads/slogans:
"Surf with your 3G connection while skiing"
"Use Messenger on top of the hill"
This really makes me angry! Guess who are targeted with those ads? Children and youngsters :-(
(See my previous story about the children's risks and the recommendation of Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority Finland
(STUK).)
Propably Finland, Sweden and Japan are the worst countries in the world in irradiating their citizens (and tourists) in every possible location. [Why should you and I be worried? Please, check my 'Mobile phone base stations and health risks' -review.
Hey, I need to find something positive about Saariselkä: This region has fantastic cross-country skiing, hiking and mountain biking routes. Far away from those transmitters ;-)
Come on: Am I the only one who appreciates that my eyes, cells, skin and body rest on a holiday , without extra microwave bombardment? Which holiday resorts in Lapland (Finland, Sweden, Norway, Kola-Russia) would profilate as low-radiation, family-friendly?
